Their 4,000-km migration is one of nature's greatest wonders. As they prepare to spawn and die, their bodies turn crimson and green, in an awe-inspiring spectacle of beauty. I am fortunate to have grown up in a small community just 40 kilometers away from their spawning grounds, and have witnessed pretty much all the major runs during my lifetime.
Ornament details:
This gorgeous sockeye salmon blown-glass Christmas ornament shimmers in metallic red and green, the colors of Christmas! What's special about this ornament is that I've designed it to look like it's alive and swimming, with a slight curve in the body. Most fish ornaments hang lengthwise (like a dead fish hanging from a hook), and are completely straight.
This sockeye salmon blown-glass Christmas ornament measures 3.75" x 2" x 2" (9.7cm × 5.0cm × 5.2cm) and is just the right size to tuck in the stocking of the fisherman or fisherwoman or any nature lover.
