The bridge, built in 1938, was the longest suspension bridge in the British Empire at the time. The Art Deco styled lions were designed by sculptor Charles Marega, who tragically died only two months after their installation.

This gorgeous blown-glass lion ornament shimmers in a light silver to "pop" against the backdrop of your tree, and is a stunning addition to an all-silver tree. It measures 4” long x 2” wide x 3” high (10.5cm x 5.5 cm x 8.7cm). While it's a substantial ornament, it's deceptively light.

A blown-glass Lions Gate Bridge ornament is also a great gift for anyone who has visited Stanley Park (the bridge entrance where the lions are located is adjacent to Stanley Park and can be seen from the lookout), who loves lions or who grew up reading about Aslan in The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, and of course, for people like me who are nuts about Art Deco. This ornament is also more popular with men, designers and artists, and locals who live in North Vancouver or West Vancouver.

Because there are two lions guarding each side of the bridge, customers often buy the lions in pairs!

Size: 4”long x 2”wide x x 3”high (10.5cm x 5.5 cm x 8.7cm)
